Once upon a (long) time (ago)... friend and I decided to distress our own jeans.

You know how you can buy jeans in stores with holes all in them and paint splatters and stitches, in different washes?
We thought, "Hey, let's take an old pair of jeans and make them awesome"

And we had so much fun trying to distress our jeans.
Tea-stained them with chai tea bags.
Nailed them to trees and threw rocks and paint at them.
Dragged them threw the (dirt) driveway.

Anything we could think of doing, we did it.
It was actually so fun, and we thought we would have such a great outcome, I remember us talking about starting our own business "designing couture jeans" or something.
[ha ha ha]

Let's just say...we didn't end up with a business. Or wearable jeans.
But we did live happily ever after

Tell me a good story?

This is pretty cool! Why pay 50 bucks for a pair of jeans like those when you can DIY?

Hahaha. That sounds like a blast! :)

A story: This morning, I woke up semi-early to go to breakfast with the boy, and we did a short photoshoot of a dress I neeeeded to have photographed today because I'm swapping it out today. Well, I didn't have anywhere to change, so we were in the alley and he held a sheet up so I could take off my dress and put on my summery sundress to walk around downtown in, when a person started walking down the alley. My dress was up and over my head so I couldn't see the person coming, but Niklaas impulsively wrapped the sheet around me. Hahaha! Picture me being thrown against a wall wrapped in a sheet with my dress over my head and all clad in my nickers. OOooops. The person stared for a long time, and asked if I was okay, and then pretty much stormed out of the alley. So funny.

Sorry this was so long :)

This is soooooooooo much fun! Sad that they didn't result in a couture jeans venture, but looks like good times none the less. Great post!

Haha, funny :)

A story: At this very moment, my husband is sitting next to me, stroking my hair and rubbing/scratching my head. It feels kind of like heaven. It's one of my favorite things. My husband is also at this very moment watching Nascar. Nascar makes me want to scream. But that's the beauty of marriage - finding that fantastic balance between giving and taking, and setting up camp and living there. It's the easiest and hardest thing I've ever done. And it's worth every single minute.

Y'all are so creative!

A story: My niece and I were going to make cupcakes last week, but I ran out of vegetable oil. I thought I could wait until next time I have her over, but I made them today because I couldn't help myself. She may have picked out the pink sprinkles, but that doesn't mean I wasn't excited about them too! :)

A story: Once upon a time there was a girl who had piles and piles of laundry. She stared at the laundry and vowed that she would do it one day. When "one day" finally arrived, she sat down at the computer and started blogging. She's still staring at her laundry.
