loveliest day

I am sipping my spicy soup, glad to be eating something other than peppermint bark and baked brie...

...there is a extraordinary mess in my bedroom as I am cleaning out my closet and then noticing fifteen other things that ought to be cleaned in there...

...my legs are sore like nothing I've experienced before.
would you like to know why?
I ran ten miles yesterday.
ten.miles.
a week ago I didn't know if I could run one mile without giving up
and yesterday in the freezing weather I ran ten
just because...

...I believe there is something so restful and invigorating about doing the things that should be done
I often come up with good quotes and little life lessons for myself while I am cleaning...

...every part of me is happy there's a new year coming up
I don't have resolutions; too hard to say what the next year will hold.
I make daily and weekly resolutions, and those are difficult enough to keep up with...

out with the old!

Ahhh. I really like your resolution of keeping resolutions for a week, or a day. I can't keep them in a year! Everything becomes irrelevant!

Oh geesh, ten miles! That's crazy. The most I've done it 9 and that was 5 years ago. Ten may be a good goal. Thanks for the inspiration! Look the new look (:
