curry cabbage


like many other recipes, I came up with this dish by experimenting on an empty stomach, and then recreating the recipe  a day or two later upon sudden craving.
roommate approved!


here's what you need:
cabbage
garlic
onion
ginger root
olive oil
curry powder
salt and pepper
[chopped red pepper and corn are delicious too, but not essential]

chop the onion and garlic, and get them started in a little pan with some olive oil.
grate or chop the ginger and let it hang out in there as well.
scoop out some curry powder, salt and pepper and let that mingle too.
while all of this goodness is cooking, chop your cabbage.

chop a little at a time, in batches, and when you have your first batch ready, add some water and turn up the heat before adding.
keep going in this pattern. I realize it sounds complicated but chopping cabbage and adding water isn't too tough. so worth it. 
just continue stirring the whole mixture and taste-testing.

once you have the desired amount of cabbage curried, scoop it all into a bowl or on a plate and enjoy.
