dear diary, 

I know it's the silliest thing. but I have so many real-life girl crushes.

savannah may not sound like the craziest place to live, 

but there are a few people I think are the bee's knees.

there's the customer girl  who gets a medium coffee 

and has dirt under her fingernails from doing a super cool outdorsy job.

and the waitress who wears danskos (me too!) 

and has the coolest pixie cut and is tall and confident and probably at least thirty, 

and is everything I won't ever be.

she asks what I would  like to drink and suddenly I don't know how to say water. 

WATER. 

it's terrible.

the girl who lives across the street from me and walks her dog every single day when she comes home from work. 

and when her husband (bf? not sure. they seem very commited)  

gets home she always greets him at the door and they sometimes walk the dog together. 

and they have canoes. 

girls who canoe are just something great.

and there's the other customer who has the best hair. 

I'm talking about shakira-wavy-curly madness. and a scratchy kind of voice. 

and drinks an americano sometimes.

also really tough for me to give her the order total.  

the words just get lost as I admire her cool, calm energy. 

and hair.

it's tough for me to put into words how this feels. 

I'm not down on myself for not being all of these things;

 I just like to see from a distance. 

no binoculars, promise.
