notes to self
I'm one of those people (I most people are one of those people but I'm not sure) who has ideas all the time, in any setting.
by idea, I mean I will think of anything from a great recipe that I want to create when I get home. or a craft I want to make. or I will have a sudden burst of inspiration and suddenly have the idea to wash our sheets and pillowcases (rare).
what do you do?
this happens a lot at work, mostly in the mornings because I think most clearly and happily in the hours after the sun comes up.
so I used to tear of strips of paper from wherever I could find them, or use those dreaded neon sticky notes.
if you get an idea, you can't let it get away. even at the expense of using ugly paper in order to capture it.
but we have these brown paper bags that our bagels get delivered in, and they are still nice so I take them home and collect them. we printed our wedding invitations on them, and I've made crafts and things with them.
most recently though, I started tearing them into smallish pieces and making them just a bit prettier- brown paper doesn't need a lot of decoration; maybe just a touch- so I can bring those to work with me and write down whatever I wish.
there is always one in my apron pocket (I'm a barista) so having a thought is a good thing, not a reason for panic.
best idea yet!
there are the typewriter ones, and the ones I painted little designs in white paint on. nothing too fancy.
just makes me happy to capture those fresh ideas. on something that feels more me than neon paper.
do you get those crazy bursts of inspiration?
what do you do to capture those ideas, on the go?

wow, that's such a good idea! they are all so pretty!
This is such a cute (albeit labor-intensive) idea! I just use Wunderlist, which is not nearly as adorable :)
yep, something about the fact that bagels were in these bags makes them even more special than they are already. i love this!
i sometimes write little notes with roller ball pens on my wrist and they look like tattoos and i feel a little bit cool.
so pretty, simple, resourceful, and useful! i love it! :)
